Swing Joint Risers

When installing sprinklers it makes sense to mount them on a flexible joint that will allow them to give a bit if run over by a machine and to be able to accurately level  the sprinkler for optimum  performance.

There are several ways to do this

The first and simplest is probably to use 3 Marlex elbows screwed together to make a simple universal joint. using plenty of PTFE tape, note this is not suitable for valve in head sprinklers

We stock 1/2, 3/4 and 1" sizes

412-005M    1/2
412-007M    3/4
412-010M    1"

For Spray heads and small pop ups up to 3/4 inlet you can make your own flexible riser from CK pipe and push-in elbows. We stock a handy tool that will fit into a battery operated drill to help insert the elbows.

CKpipe   100Ft coil
CK050EL  1/2" elbow
CK075EL  3/4" elbow
CK075I    3/4" straight insert
CKtool      Elbow insert tool

If you do not want to make you own flexible risers we stock a range of ready made ones in several configurations.

B15010    1/2 x 1/2 x 12"
B15011     1/2 x 3/4 x 12"
B15012     3/4 x 3/4 x 12"

For swing joints when using valve in head sprinklers we recommend Lasco products.

Installation Notes:

1.) ACME O-Ring sealed threads are to be Finger Tightened and "Backed Off" one full rotation before installation.

2.) The Swing Joint lay arm is to be installed at an angle between 30 and 45 degrees.

We  provide an extra elbow for use with an upright facing saddle
